Our dental practice is led by two amazing doctors:
Dr. Baron Grutter and Dr. David Fischer.
Dr. Baron Grutter
Dr. Baron Grutter all facets of General Dentistry, but has a particular fondness for Orthodontics and Implant Dentistry. He’s developed an international reputation for his work in 3D Printing and other facets of Digital Dentistry. He spends much of his non-clinical time teaching other dentists and Dental Technicians many of the techniques he’s developed.
For Undergrad, he attended Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa. He received his dental degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Dr. Grutter is also a Certified CEREC Technology Trainer.
He has been married to his beautiful bride, Grace, for 13 years and they have three amazing children, Bowen, Nella, and Corwin. In his spare time, Dr. Grutter enjoys team sports, snow, and water skiing, snowboarding, running, and CrossFit. When he is not studying dentistry, he enjoys family time and great TV and movies.

She has touched lives throughout the world, and Grace and he are extremely proud of her and blessed by her presence. She has been such a gift in their life. Nella was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy at 11 weeks old, through prayer and wonderful medical support she is thriving today at eight years old and continues her fight for health daily.
Dr. David Fischer
Dr. Fischer has had the privilege of serving his community and patients at Cannon Family Dentistry for 23 years. With a thoughtful, patient centered approach, his goal for every patient is to work together to identify solutions in achieving and maintaining a healthy mouth and smile.
Born in Detroit and raised in Warren, Dr. Fischer received his undergraduate degree in Physiology from Michigan State University. He then headed south to the University of Michigan where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He has logged countless hours of continuing education with a concentration in full mouth rehabilitation, advanced restorative techniques, and orthodontics. Currently, he is ‘geeked’ with the technology updates that are being incorporated into the practice and eager to utilize the advanced CDCT imaging, 3-D printing, and zirconia milling systems to the benefit our patients.
Dr. Fischer is a dedicated husband to his wife of 32 years, Bev, and proud father to Krysten (Jeff), Brian (Stephanie), and Brad. Dr. and Mrs. Fischer were thrilled to welcome their first grandchild, Vivienne in May 2020. When he is not working, Dr. Fischer loves spending time with his family, especially tractor rides with his best little buddy Viv. He enjoys swimming and running, cheering on the Spartans, and coffee dates with his wife. Dr. Fischer’s Catholic faith is a driving force for him each day and he is a very active member of his church.
